Increasing concerns around artificial intelligence and ethics is a topic that needs to be discussed especially in a very sensitive industry such as the financial industry. Some of the concerns include consumer/investor protection, ethical awareness, cybersecurity, data privacy etc.

The ethical awareness of this technology is important as we need to decide who takes responsibility if something goes wrong. Is it the company? Is it the creator? Is it the consumer? These are all questions that should be considered when using artificially intelligent machines.

In my coming blog posts, I will be sharing some of the insights from the conference I attended at the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EDRD) in London which was organized by the International Organization of Securities Commission (IOSCO) and International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA). Present at this conference include Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), CFA Institute International, World Federation of Exchanges International (WFE), ISDA, IOSCO, to mention a few.
